Publishing - Lead Product Developer for Ceros Media

Fresh Media GroupFresh Media Group hired Listings Lab to create an industry leading magazine publishing application called Ceros cerosmedia.com. The product was developed from scratch to allow the online publishing of magazines from the PDF created during the normal publishing cycle of a traditional magazine.

The product has been sold commercially since summer 2006, and has been successfully used by Dennis Publishing in the launch of their ground-breaking internet-only publication:

KPE, an International web-agency focusing on the entertainment industry with offices in New York, Los Angeles and London. General Responsibilities were to bring my Flash expertise to the creative department, and to bridge the creative and technical departments. I worked with the design Department, developing the ActionScript behind several online flash games and viral marketing campaigns. I also worked closely with the Entertainment department, and became familiar with the processes and software used in the production of film for both television and for the Internet, including shooting, editing and post-production. kpeeurope.com

Initial Launch website for the E4 digital entertainment channel. The site content and navigation was managed by an Interwoven CMS using an XML protocol.

Aspinalls Online Casino aspinalls.com
Involved with the development of a series of viral marketing game promoting the online casino using server technology written in Java, and XML as the communication protocol. Because the game offered a cash prize, security was an issue and an encryption technology was developed in ActionScript and Java.

Flash XML Socket layer connection. Using flash version 5, I led the team developing real-time communication using flash XML socket layer. I oversaw the technical team for this production to working prototype stage.

4MAT.COM, London (May 1999 - Jan 00)

Gaining a grounding in basic middleware development, using Microsoft ASP technologies, and developing a method of retrieving live database information and inserting it into a browser based flash movie. This was the basis for the ‘data-driven flash’ products I have been developing ever since.

Small Business Owner

Whilst still studying for my degree, I started a small web-design agency using funding achieved from the Prince's Youth Business Trust, and using training and support from the government agency Business Link. I successfully secured and carried out contracts for several clients, including a Photographic shop, a marketing company, and a Canadian greeting card company. The skills I learned in this initial period have proved invaluable and I have continued to operate a limited company ever since.
